I would like to welcome you to Our Lady’s & St Mochua’s Primary School Website. It is intended to give you an insight into life at our school.

At Our Lady’s & St Mochua’s we pride ourselves in the fact that we provide an enriched education for all our pupils, allowing them to grow socially, emotionally and physically so that they will be full of the confidence they will need to ensure that they can contribute fully to the society in which they will live.

Our School Vision

Our School Vision ‘Reaching for the future…A voice today…’ means exactly that. We have a common goal, in that we are preparing the children for the future and they are striving for the future.

In addition everyone involved with the school, pupils, teachers, non teaching staff and parents have a voice and everyone will be listened to.

Mission Statement

Our Lady’s & St Mochua’s Primary School, Derrynoose, was founded in September 2003 as a result of a successful amalgamation of St Mochua’s PS Derrynoose and Our Lady’s PS Carrickaduff.

The Department of Education, who carried out an Inspection of Our Lady’s & St Mochua’s in November 2008 concluded:

‘ that the quality of education at Our Lady’s & St Mochua’s PS was outstanding and that the quality of pastoral care was also outstanding.’

School Management

Our Lady’s & St Mochua’s PS is a Catholic Maintained Primary School.  It is managed by a Board of Governors who delegate the day to day management of the school to the School Principal.
