Don’t Box Me In is a project Based in Keady that promotes inclusion and equality through artistic mediums. We are funded by the Big Lottery, ABC Council and the Public Health Agency to provide activities that will improve the wellbeing of children and young people.

The third serious of workshops which concluded with a drama and multimedia production on August 9th 2018 brought together twelve young people aged fourteen to twenty one. Feedback from the audience of community representatives, parents and professionals evidenced that by bringing together disabled young people and non-disabled young people to participate in activities of mutual interest breaks down barriers and promotes inclusion.

Our previous workshops have also proved that taking young people together influences personal skills. Such as confidence tolerance and improves self-esteem. It also increases understanding of others. Future Workshops will allow participants to experience a range of artistic mediums such as drama dance etc.
