**School Closure: The school will close on Monday 5th December 2016 for Staff Training.
Christmas Dinner: Please note that all children will go home at 12.45pm on the day of the Christmas Dinner – Thursday 8th December. The SELB bus will run at this time.
Coaching and Games Draw: Many thanks to families who have returned their GAA Draw Booklets. A record will be kept of your return and your amount will be deducted from your child’s summer trip cost. I ask that every family try and sell one book – final returns by this Friday. Denis Hollywood, Armagh Games Manager, has left some SPOT Prizes in school – a draw will take place for the children of families who have returned tickets.
St Vincent de Paul Hampers: Many thanks to families who have returned their St Vincent de Paul Hamper item. We ask each family to send in one food/drink item suitable for a Christmas Hamper.
Christmas Carol Service: The Christmas Carol Service by Primary 3-7 will take place on Wednesday 14th December @ 7.00pm in St Mochua’s Church Derrynoose. All parents and extended family members welcome.
P6 & 7 must wear their black bottoms and red polo shirt
P3 & 5 must wear their black bottoms and white polo shirt
P4 will enact the Nativity Scene – Mrs Warner will tell them what to wear.
Christmas Play: The Primary 1 and 2 will perform their Christmas Play ‘The Donkey Seller’ on Friday 16th December 2016@ 10.00am. All parents and grandparents are welcome. Parents are asked to get costumes for their children – your child’s class teacher will give guidance on what should be worn.
Christmas Draw: There will be an opportunity for children and parents to purchase tickets for our Christmas Draw. Proceeds will be in aid of Newry Hospice via Brenda Fox (Parent) who will complete the Dalai Lama Track in India next year. A list of the prizes will be sent home on Monday and you can send in money for tickets with your child.
Wear a Christmas Jumper Day: Children may wear a Christmas Jumper from Monday 19th December to Wednesday 22nd – make your own or buy! Each child will be asked to pay £1.00 to donate to our Pupil Council Charity Bank – charity to be decided at a later date. The Christmas Jumper may also be worn on the day of the Christmas Dinner.
School will close @ 12.00 Noon for all children on Wednesday 21st December 2016 @ 2.00pm and reopenon Monday 9th January 2017.
