Catholic School’s Week

What a fabulous day we had today – Primary 3 and our Changemaker Prefects along with Scarlett from P5 were the main participants at a very Special Mass to mark Catholic School’s Week at St Mary’s University College Belfast – we even met one of our own past pupils – Emma Mone who is in her third year of teacher training.  The children were absolutely amazing in every way.  Many thanks to Miss Clancy our P3 Student Teacher for coordinating the day.

We also enjoyed a beautiful morning with our Grandparents today.  Our prayer service was lead by Primary 6 with our Grandparents and Changemaker prefects taking part in the liturgy.  Entertainment included music, singing, gymnastics, poetry, dance, magic and jokes by our Derrynoose Has Talent Class Winners!  A lovely morning enjoyed by all.

We were also treated to St Brigid Cross Making lead by Mrs Ann Hughes and Mrs Kathleen Kelly – we greatly appreciate their assistance.

The week ended with a Class Assembly lead by P5 on the theme of St Brigid – It was excellently delivered by all the children to a full house of special guests.

Thanks to all Staff and Pupils for their hard work and efforts during this week.
