P6 are studying The Body as part of their WAU topic so this week the children enjoyed some investigative science to celebrate Science Week Ireland. Activities included investigating their unique thumb prints, where they used the FBI guide to types of prints to work out which pattern they had and if both thumbs had the same pattern. Some interesting conclusions were drawn. They also got a chance to act as “surgeons”, by putting the organs in the correct place on the models. We found out which organ was the largest in the body. Can you work out the answer?
