Retirement of Governors March 2010


Many congratulations were extended recently to two long serving members of Our Lady's & St Mochua's PS Derrynoose Board of Governors who retired recently.  Senior Trustee and Parish Priest Canon Crawley paid tribute to Mr Pat Tomany and Mr Jim Mone who had served as Governors from 1989 and 1991 respectively.  Both Pat and Jim served as governors on a Joint Board of Governors of St Joseph's PS Madden, Our Lady's PS Carrickaduff and St Mochua's PS Derrynoose before  taking up a governorship in the new Our Lady's & St Mochua's PS in 2003.  Mr Brian Rafferty, Chairman of Our Lady's & St Mochua's BOG, also congratulated Pat and Jim on their many years of service, outlining how they both served as diligent and committed members giving up many hours of their time for school business.

Mr Gary Farrell, school principal, thanked both gentleman, on behalf of the pupils, parents and staff, for their support and advice over many years and wished them well for their future.
