Girl's & Boy's All County Camogie and Hurling Champions

Unreal Success!!  County Camogie and Hurling Champions!!

Following on from completing the double in the Paddy Morgan Cup the Girl's Camogie and Boy's Hurling Teams became County Champions today lifting the All County Camogie Cup and the Jimmy Carlisle All County Hurling Cup respectively.  This achievement is outstanding for a school of our size but totally reflects the high level of skilful children we have in these codes.  Both teams played their hearts out today and after overcoming teams from across the county in the round robin games,  we faced St John's PS Middletown in both finals.  The girl's game was an excellent display of camogie with the girls winning by 2 goals to nil.  The boy's match was more hard hitting with a half time score of 3-1 and after the break Middletown fought hard to level the game but we succeeded with strong tackling and super scoring to win the game 5-3. Many thanks must go to all our teachers and club mentors who have worked with these children over the years.  A special thanks to our club school coaches Sean Farrell and Geraldine Haughey!  Your work and efforts have paid off!!
