Ulster Indoor Hurling Finals 2012

Primary 7 boys represented Armagh at the Ulster Hurling Finals held in Cookstown recently.

After breezing through the Armagh section the lads knew that things would be a lot tougher in a very competitive Ulster competition.

We were grouped with the champions from Derry, Down and Fermanagh, while the second (and what proved to be weaker group) consisted of the champions from Donegal, Tyrone and Antrim.

In our first outing we won well over a good Derry side from Dungiven. We then came up against two very strong sides from Down and Fermanagh and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the semi-finals.

The school community is very proud of the lads who perfromed excellently and won and lost graciously on the day.

Thanks to Mr Farrell, Mr Mone and Sean Farrell who mentored the boys over the year.
